Yoga offers us an opportunity to draw inwards, ground ourselves, and become aware of the sensations of the body through focused breathing and meditative movement. The ancient wisdom at its heart affirms that integrating mind and body in this way enables us to quieten our busy brains, and through that, ease our stresses.

Regular yoga practice gives us the space to pause, relax and take stock of what our bodies are telling us, and through responding with kindness and compassion, transform our ways of dealing with the challenges we face.

This is the path I offer. I will build a relationship with you as an individual as one size never fits all. My intention is to design a yoga practice that works for you, crafted through dialogue and based on a knowledgeable and professional analysis of your unique needs.

I aim to create and hold a safe space for you to practise breathing, mindful movement and meditation in order that you can listen to your body, quieten the fluctuations of the mind, shed the heaviness of life and its stresses, and fill yourself with positive energy to carry forward into your day-to-day life.

My life path has been influenced by having to grow up very quickly and find my own way in terms of emotions and relationships. I spent a lot of time feeling like I didn’t fit in, and this led me to seek external validation. Finally realising that true validation only comes from within, I embraced my own yoga journey, which for me, has been a life-changing and life-enhancing experience.

Working with young people who also felt as if they didn’t fit in has been a passion for me, and it was the desire to make a difference to them that led me into special needs teaching, and fostered a growing fascination with how the mind and body work.

For the last 20 years I’ve been working with a diverse range of young people, and for me, this involves listening to them, assessing their needs and then helping them to build a way to flourish in the world. These skills of sensitivity and responsiveness directly influence my yoga teaching.

I specialise in building productive relationships with my clients to help understand their needs. This enables me to offer packages of tailor-made sessions for individuals, couples or families. I am passionate about working with people who want to transform their relationship with their minds and bodies. I am keen to reach out to people who are seeking other ways to ease the pain in their lives and keep resorting to old, less useful, patterns of behaviour. Most of all, I want to enable others to use the transformative power of yoga to bring about meaningful change in their lives.
